Melbourn and District u3a

aviation history

We are very much an informal conversation group meeting at the Dolphin Pub in Melbourn at 10:45 on the second Thursday of the month. Every month we have a theme to get the conversation underway and it almost literally can then go to any aviation or allied subject thereafter.

We've previously discussed the Air Transport Auxiliary Service (ATA) which made a tremendous difference during WW2. And we've discussed the development of aircraft engines and their impact on aircraft design. However for topics the sky's the limit really!

You don’t have to be an expert to join us, just interested in all things Aviation. As needed contact the group leader and we'll confirm when we'll next meet.
