If you answer YES to any of these questions then our 'Acoustic Guitar Group' could be what will encourage you to pick up your guitar again. The main objective of the group is having fun and to help each other become more confident in playing songs on the acoustic guitar. There is no teaching offered as such but members are encouraged to look further into various techniques and styles, learn some new songs and hopefully pick up some wider musical knowledge on the way.
Martin Kendall writes: Members of the group delivered their first public performance as an ensemble at the local WomenSing and Friends Garden Concert 29 July 2026. This was in aid of Royston and District Parkinson's Group and Homestart (Royston South Cambs, Buntingford). This is a significant milestone for a number of group members both in terms of their development in playing since joining the group and their exposure to public music performance. They should be proud of their achievements. We will continue exploring a variety of songs and playing techniques to increase everyone's confidence in playing. I am pleased to have played some part in encouraging them along the way since the group was formed and hope they will now be more confident about the prospect of playing in public.
