Craig has directed numerous excavations in Cambridge over the past 20 years and worked as a researcher on the After the Plague project at the University of Cambridge Archaeological Unit. He will talk about the unit's commercial work on proposed building projects but in particular:
The Cambridge Augustinian friary: Skeletons and Science
“Our excavations of the 13th - 16th Cambridge Augustinian friary from 2016 to 2019 revealed a wealth of information about the buildings of the friary and the people who lived and were buried there. A wide range of scientific techniques were applied to the recovered skeletons, revealing information that was in some cases science fiction just 10 years ago".
